Description

You will design, implement, and deliver Embedded Controller (EC) firmware for notebooks, integrating it with other platform firmware.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Integrate EC firmware with platform firmware and partner with chip vendors to ensure NVIDIA product compatibility.
• Review hardware architecture and schematics alongside hardware teams.
• Collaborate with QA and Test architects to develop automation and test tools for firmware qualification.
• Provide technical support to EC chip vendors and OEMs/ODMs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor in firmware development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience implementing firmware in ARM Architecture.
• Experience implementing Embedded Controller (EC) firmware.
• Proficiency in C and C++ development.
• Experience implementing system software in a Linux OS environment.
• Understanding of low-level interfaces including GPIO, I2C, SPI, eSPI, PCIe, and JTAG.
• Knowledge of PCIe enumeration and platform-level IO for notebooks.
• Python scripting skills and debugging experience in embedded Linux environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Zephyr OS.
• Expertise in Arm embedded architecture.
• Experience supporting Windows on Arm platforms.
