Description

Design and develop firmware for data center server manageability and observability, owning hardware bring-up, OOB firmware, and protocol stacks.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop out-of-band firmware and manageability solutions for data center servers and GPU deployments.
• Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues related to power management, performance, and thermal control.
• Partner with Cloud Service Providers to co-debug features, optimize performance, and support new product introductions.
• Perform root cause analysis and advanced system debugging for large-scale data center environments.
• Collaborate with AE and Solution Architect teams to deliver integrated technical solutions and documentation.

Required Skills

• 8-12 years of system software development experience in embedded firmware.
• Expert-level C/C++ skills for resource-constrained embedded environments and RTOS.
• Deep knowledge of hardware bring-up and server management controllers (BMC).
• Strong understanding of DMTF protocols: Redfish, IPMI, PLDM, MCTP, and SPDM.
• Proficiency with low-level hardware interfaces including I2C, SPI, UART, and PCIe.
• Experience with RAS, error injection, fault isolation, and system health monitoring.
• BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud and cluster-level deployment and management systems.
• Experience with GPU computing (CUDA) and deep learning workloads.
