Description

Lead the design and implementation of complex hardware architectures and FPGA-based products in Bohemia, NY.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design specifications and architectural documentation to guide engineering teams.
• Execute original hardware design by distilling large-scale requirements into manageable architectural elements.
• Manage product lifecycles through development plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Resolve defect reports and release updated hardware packages for existing products.
• Research and implement new tools and processes to improve engineering efficiency.

Required Skills

• 7-10 years of relevant hardware design experience.
• Strong RTL coding, simulation, and debug capabilities using VHDL or Verilog.
• Experience with RTL simulation, Synthesis, and Static Timing Analysis using Xilinx Vivado, Altera/Intel Quartus, Lattice Diamond, or Microsemi Libero.
• Deep knowledge of CCA design, including mixed-signal circuits with processors, I/O communications, and programmable logic.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and firmware issues using software and hardware tools.
• Experience with networking protocols such as PCIe, 1G/10G Ethernet, 1394, or Fibre Channel.

Preferred Skills

• Schematic capture experience using Cadence OrCad.
• Experience with MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429 protocols.
