Description

Design, implement, and test high-quality code for API, batch processing, and data product offerings using Ruby on Rails and React.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build new products and features across the full stack, ensuring strong test coverage and adherence to 1:1 coverage standards for critical areas.
• Manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, deploying applications to AWS with strict security standards.
• Perform code reviews, contribute to private Git/GitHub repositories, and mentor team members on technical best practices.
• Develop automation tools and internal support systems to enhance application reliability and developer productivity.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and ticket tracking via Jira.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of full-stack web development experience with significant hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails and React.
• Deep understanding of the Ruby ecosystem, including MVC architecture, gem management, Bundler, and dependency management.
• Proficiency in Rails testing frameworks such as RSpec and Minitest, with a strong commitment to Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience with Git in collaborative environments, including structured code reviews and version control best practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions, alongside containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Practical knowledge of AWS services, including IAM, Security Groups, KMS, and Secrets Manager, applied to secure application deployment.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
• Background in functional programming and evolving software architecture patterns.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
