Description

You will modernize legacy systems and build full-stack applications using AI-assisted workflows to accelerate development, ensure quality, and reduce engineering toil.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Modernize legacy Vue, Nuxt, PHP, and Node.js systems by leveraging AI for code analysis, safe refactoring, and accelerated migrations.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and service-based components, using AI to enforce consistency and accelerate development.
• Build and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests, using AI to rapidly expand coverage and reduce reliance on manual QA.
• Apply AI tools daily to generate, refactor, and optimize code, assist in debugging, and improve documentation and onboarding.
• Identify architectural weaknesses and recommend improvements, such as breaking down monolithic components into cleaner API-driven designs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience building production web applications.
• Strong experience with PHP / Laravel and/or Node.js / Express.
• Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks, particularly Vue.js and SPA architectures.
• Experience working in and improving legacy systems (Vue 2, Nuxt 2, PHP 7, Node 14).
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests (unit and/or integration).
• Demonstrated, hands-on use of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) in software development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system analysis skills.
• Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience with Nuxt.js.
