Description

You will own the full development lifecycle for proprietary insurance pricing algorithms and data visualization tools, partnering with product management to deliver secure, high-quality production features.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, and Python (Flask/FastAPI).
• Architect solutions, conduct technical spikes, and develop proofs of concept for complex modeling requirements.
• Implement robust observability, including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for incident triage and root-cause analysis.
• Manage the end-to-end release process, ensuring code is thoroughly tested and aligned with established SLOs.
• Contribute to RFC/ADR documentation, participate in agile ceremonies, and perform peer code reviews.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript for frontend development.
• Backend expertise in Python, specifically Flask or FastAPI, with SQLAlchemy and Pydantic.
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres) and caching layers (Redis).
• Practical knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (TeamCity, Git-based workflows).
• Solid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LLMs and AI development tools (Claude, Copilot).
• Data engineering background with NumPy, pandas, or Polars.
