Description

You will design and develop a modern publication management system from the ground up, owning the full technology stack.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end features across frontend, backend, and data layers.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces for publication management and curation workflows.
• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and business logic.
• Implement data models and persistence for complex bibliographic and metadata-driven systems.
• Integrate with internal and external systems and optimize application performance.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in frontend frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue.
• Backend development experience with Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Understanding of modular or microservices-based architectures.
• Familiarity with API-first design and Agile or iterative development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with greenfield development and phased delivery models.
• Knowledge of scholarly metadata standards such as DOI, ORCID, MeSH, or PubMed.
• Experience building dashboards, reports, or data visualization features.
