Description

You will build and maintain scalable microservices and web applications using modern Java frameworks.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Manage and deploy services across major cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments on Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain relational or NoSQL database schemas.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Micronaut, or Quarkus.
• Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Deep understanding of API authentication including OAuth2, JWT, and API Keys.
• Practical experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure core compute, database, and networking services.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, or NoSQL like MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Expert-level proficiency with Git.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and messaging queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or Spock.
• Knowledge of observability tools covering logging, metrics, and tracing.
