Description

You will own the administration, automation, and security of the GitHub Enterprise platform across the organization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer GitHub Enterprise Cloud and Server, managing policies, rulesets, branch protection, and identity via SAML/SCIM.
• Implement policy-as-code using Terraform and the GitHub API to automate platform settings.
• Operate self-hosted runners on Kubernetes via Actions Runner Controller (ARC) and maintain a reusable action library.
• Deploy and tune GitHub Advanced Security features including CodeQL, secret scanning, and Dependabot.
• Lead enterprise migrations from legacy systems (GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) using GitHub Enterprise Importer.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of DevOps, Platform, or SRE experience.
• 3+ years dedicated hands-on experience administering GitHub Enterprise at scale.
• Deep expertise with Gitlab, Bitbucket, Azure Devops, and Jenkins for migration contexts.
• Proficiency in GraphQL and REST API automation for GitHub workflows.
• Proven experience deploying and scaling infrastructure on Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of OIDC keyless cloud auth and identity provider routing.
• Experience managing GitHub metered billing and optimizing spend (FinOps).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Backstage or similar developer portal integrations.
• Ability to author custom CodeQL queries.
