Description

You will administer and maintain GitLab Enterprise Edition across multiple environments, including AWS and Kubernetes deployments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer GitLab EE, managing Omnibus installs, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Manage platform infrastructure using Ansible for configuration management and Terraform for AWS provisioning.
• Set up and maintain AWS Geo DR sites and Kubernetes-based installations using Helm charts on EKS.
• Monitor platform health via Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus, responding to incidents and managing SSL/TLS certificates.
• Administer GitLab Runners (shared Linux and EKS) and support CI/CD pipeline infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Strong expertise in GitLab Enterprise Edition administration, including upgrades and configuration.
• Proficiency with Ansible (playbooks/roles) and Terraform (AWS infrastructure, state management).
• Experience with PostgreSQL database administration, including backups, replication, and tuning.
• Knowledge of HAProxy or F5 load balancer configuration, including SSL termination and health checks.
• Strong shell scripting skills (Bash) for automation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts, Git workflows, and GitLab Runners.
• Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, TCP/IP, port management).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes orchestration (EKS/ECS) and Helm chart deployments.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow for alerting, incident management, and ticketing.
