Description

You will design and build cloud-based microservices for a video encoding and delivery platform, owning the architecture from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud-based microservices to support complex video processing workflows.
• Develop shared microservice libraries and architectural patterns used across all services.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evolve video encoding and delivery systems.
• Partner with QA to facilitate playback testing across various devices.
• Work with operations to implement streamlined CI/CD solutions.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Extensive experience writing microservices in Golang.
• Proven track record of building shared microservice libraries.
• Experience with Cloud/SaaS services such as Amazon AWS or Google Cloud.
• Experience with container technology and management using Docker.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of video codec standards including AVC, HEVC, VP9, AV1, and AAC.
• Experience with Kubernetes, EKS, or GKE.
• Familiarity with container formats and streaming protocols such as DASH/HLS.
