Description

You will own the design, configuration, and customization of Guidewire PolicyCenter for new and existing insurance products. You implement underwriting rules, rating logic, and UI changes using Gosu and PCF. You ensure data integrity across entity extensions and integrated systems. You collaborate with business analysts and product owners to deliver production-ready solutions from design through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Configure and enhance the PolicyCenter product model, including coverages, terms, and exclusions for the Personal Property line of business.
• Implement underwriting issues, eligibility logic, and risk evaluation rules using Gosu to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop PolicyCenter UI changes using PCF screens and workflows, ensuring accurate data validation and error handling.
• Manage data model changes, including entity extensions, field additions, and schema updates to support integration requirements.
• Configure rating tables, calculation logic, and forms to ensure compliance with regulatory and business rules.

Required Skills

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on Guidewire development experience with production PolicyCenter implementations.
• Proficiency in Gosu scripting for business logic, workflows, and page logic.
• Strong expertise in PolicyCenter configuration, including Product Model, UI (PCF), and Data Model extensions.
• Experience configuring and supporting rating engines, rate tables, and calculation logic.
• Knowledge of insurance policy lifecycle processes: issuance, endorsement, renewal, cancellation, and rewrites.
• Ability to independently analyze requirements and implement solutions without supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience mentoring junior PolicyCenter developers and participating in code reviews.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve defects across development, test, and production environments.
