Description

You will provide strategic HR guidance and problem resolution for a complex organization, focusing on employee relations, performance management, and organizational design.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Coach managers on performance management, engagement, retention, and career development.
• Consult on employee relations matters, including bargaining unit and HUCTW issues.
• Partner with recruiting teams to manage selection and hiring activities.
• Manage salary administration, internal equity reviews, and annual merit increase and bonus processes.
• Diagnose organizational design, staff development, and training needs.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of relevant human resources experience.
• Expertise in employee relations, recruitment, retention, and performance management.
• Advanced knowledge of employment law and HR policies.
• Experience administering bargaining unit policies and procedures.
• Proficiency with HRIS applications, analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong consultative and communication skills (written, oral, listening).
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline, complex organization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a Union environment.
• Project management expertise.
• Experience in a higher education setting.
