Description

Lead the migration of VMware Hypervisor environments to open-source technologies like OpenShift or KVM.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute the migration of existing VMware workloads (NSX, VCF) to OpenShift or KVM architectures.
• Modify open-source code to ensure compatibility and performance within the specific ecosystem.
• Debug, profile, and optimize hypervisor performance for scalability and efficiency.
• Contribute to open-source projects and participate in architectural discussions and code reviews.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and security teams to ensure seamless system integration.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in open-source software development with a focus on virtualization.
• Deep working knowledge of open-source hypervisors at the kernel and firmware levels.
• Practical experience with OpenShift or KVM.
• Strong programming proficiency in Java, Python, or Go.
• Proven ability to write, understand, and modify software code within an infrastructure context.
• Experience with VMware technologies.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Prior work experience at product companies such as VMware or RedHat.
