Description

You design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs in Python, ensuring they meet structured JSON request/response specifications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain deployment infrastructure, including IBM Cloud Object Storage, Container Registry, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Configure IBM Cloud services, managing IAM policies, bucket structures, and access controls for secure data handling.
• Deploy Python services to IBM Code Engine using the IBM Cloud CLI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to harden platforms from proof-of-concept to production-ready solutions.
• Participate in demo sessions, demonstrating live increments on IBM Code Engine and contributing to documentation and runbooks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• 2+ years deploying services on IBM Cloud.
• Proficiency in Python with FastAPI or Flask.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and structured JSON validation.
• Experience with Docker containerization.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Proficiency with Git version control workflows.
• Familiarity with IBM Cloud Object Storage and pre-signed URL workflows.
