Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Infrastructure: Install, configure, and maintain IBM ODM (v8.10/8.11+) on environments such as IBM WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, or Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Deployment Management: Oversee the deployment of RuleApps and managed Java archives (XOMs) to Rule Execution Servers; manage versioning and snapshots within Decision Center.
  • Security & Governance: Configure and manage user authentication (LDAP/OIDC) and role-based access control (RBAC) for both the Business Console and Enterprise Console.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize rule execution performance; configure Rule Execution Server properties and connection pools for high-volume decisioning.
  • Database Administration: Manage the Decision Center and RES schemas, including database archival, cleanup, and synchronization tasks.
  • Monitoring & Auditing: Configure and maintain the Decision Warehouse for rule execution auditing; monitor system health using tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, or IBM Cloud Pak logging.
  • Automation: Develop Ant or Maven scripts for automated deployment, synchronization, and platform management tasks.

Required Technical Skills

  • Core Platform: Expert knowledge of Rule Execution Server (RES), Decision Center, and Decision Runner.
  • Application Servers: Proficiency in WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Liberty profile, or JBoss/Tomcat.
  • Database: Experience with SQL and database management for ODM schemas (Oracle, MS SQL, or DB2).
  • Security: Hands-on experience with SSL/TLS configuration, LDAP integration, and security harding of middleware.
  • DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Azure DevOps) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).

Qualifications

  • Experience: $7+$ years in Middleware or Platform Administration, with at least $4$ years focused exclusively on IBM ODM/WODM/ILOG.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications: IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere Application Server or IBM ODM Cloud Pak for Business Automation certifications are highly preferred.
