Description

You will serve as the subject matter expert for cloud and enterprise security, guiding architecture and operations across Azure, AWS, and GCP.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and workload hardening in multi-cloud environments.
• Lead incident response activities, including advanced threat hunting, forensic investigations, and SOC workflow optimization.
• Manage Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) by maintaining policies aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, HITRUST, PCI, and HIPAA standards.
• Translate technical security risks into business impact for stakeholders and create clear technical documentation and reports.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing while implementing process improvements to reduce risk.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of information security experience or 3+ years in IT systems administration with security responsibilities.
• Deep expertise in cloud security for Azure, AWS, and GCP, including IAM, encryption, and network controls.
• Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks: NIST CSF, ISO 27001, HITRUST, PCI, HIPAA, and SOC2.
• Proficiency in security operations tools: Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint, and SIEM/ELK stacks.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools such as Qualys or Nexu.
• Hands-on experience securing Windows, Linux/Unix, and macOS endpoints and networks.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills with the ability to communicate risk to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

• Security certifications such as CCSP, AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
• Familiarity with automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code for security hardening.
