Key Responsibilities
Windows Server Administration
• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022 and later).
• Perform server provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policies (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and certificate services.
• Monitor server health, performance, capacity, and availability.
• Troubleshoot complex operating system and infrastructure issues.
Windows Server Upgrade & Migration
• Lead Windows Server upgrade and migration projects.
• Assess existing server landscapes and develop upgrade strategies.
• Perform in-place and side-by-side migrations.
• Coordinate application compatibility assessments.
• Execute upgrade activities with minimal business disruption.
• Develop rollback and contingency plans.
• Conduct testing, validation, and post-upgrade support.
VMware Administration
• Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments.
• Manage virtual machine lifecycle operations.
• Configure and maintain clusters, HA, DRS, vMotion, and Storage vMotion.
• Perform VMware host upgrades and patch management.
• Optimize virtual infrastructure performance and capacity.
Infrastructure Operations
• Support enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Implement security hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Manage monitoring tools and operational dashboards.
• Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation and standard operating procedures.
Automation & Scripting
• Automate routine administration tasks using PowerShell.
• Develop scripts for server provisioning, upgrades, compliance checks, and reporting.
• Improve operational efficiency through automation.
