Summary: Under the direction of the Manager of System Architecture, this role provides infrastructure security, compliance, and vulnerability management across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. The Infrastructure Engineer ensures systems are secure, current, and aligned with risk, audit, and compliance requirements while supporting long-term infrastructure strategy. This position leads vulnerability remediation, patching, system hardening, and backup integrity efforts, working closely with infrastructure, security, end-user technology, and application teams to drive timely resolution. The role also provides Tier 3 infrastructure support and escalated incident resolution, along with complex system analysis, design, and deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Owning vulnerability remediation programseading server patching and update processes
• Implementing hardening standards across Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms; Supporting security posture across Azure and on-prem compute, storage, and networking environments
• Oversees backup platforms, validates recovery capabilities, and participates in disaster recovery testing
• Additional duties include retiring legacy environments, transitioning to modern server management practices, automating system configuration and monitoring, and supporting infrastructure-related incident response
• Partners with security and leadership to address audit findings, risk items, and compliance requirements, while continuously identifying and driving improvements in infrastructure security, patching, and vulnerability management processes

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or a related role, with a strong focus on security and vulnerability management.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or other cloud providers preferred
• 5+ years of experience with Operating systems with an emphasis on Windows server platforms required
• 5+ years of experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, or other hypervisor platforms required
• 5+ years of experience with Enterprise storage solutions preferred
• 5+ years of experience with standard enterprise server architecture
• 5+ years' of experience with Enterprise Identity Management
• Strong experience with Windows Server administration
• Experience with vulnerability management and patching tools (e.g., Qualys, Microsoft Defender, SCCM, or similar)
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions (Cohesity or similar platforms)
• Familiarity with Microsoft security ecosystem (Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID) preferred
• Scripting or automation experience PowerShell preferred
