Description

You will own the support and management of a large-scale VDI infrastructure serving approximately 6,000 users. This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard VDI deployments in VMware Horizon across persistent and non-persistent environments.
• Support end users by handling incidents, upgrades, compliance, and rolling out packaged applications.
• Manage tier 2/3 incident resolution, platform upgrades, and security patching.
• Oversee monitoring, alert response, and provide on-call support for the platform.
• Contribute to migrating the environment from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and deploying Dell components.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with VMware Horizon supporting mid/large scale VDI deployments.
• 5+ years directly supporting VMware ESXi on-premise environments.
• 3+ years developing and maintaining virtual workstation OS images, including optimization and profile management using DEM and FSLogix.
• 3+ years of experience with application packaging using VMware AppVolume.
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience with monitoring, optimization (user experience, infrastructure), and automated issue resolution.
• Experience supporting virtual end-user platforms in multi-datacenter, multi-domain environments.
• Demonstrated experience providing tier 3 end-user support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and VMware technologies.
