Role Summary:
Hands-on Tech Lead to own design, delivery and quality of customer-facing web applications and backend services. Will lead a small engineering team, drive technical decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with BA and QA to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions using React/Redux front-end and Spring Boot microservices on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead architecture and design for web applications and microservices; own technical roadmap and sprint-level execution.
Develop and review front-end (React, Redux) and back-end (Spring Boot) code; enforce best practices, coding standards, and testing.
Design, build and maintain REST/JSON and XML APIs, integration patterns, and contract/versioning strategies.
Lead database design and optimization using relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.); write and review complex queries, indexing and migration plans.
Drive microservices design: domain-driven decomposition, inter-service communication (sync/async), resiliency, observability and deployment strategies.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and release management.
Deploy and operate services on AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM) following security and cost best practices.
Mentor and grow engineers: technical coaching, onboarding, career development, performance feedback.
Collaborate with product managers, QA, UX and DevOps to define requirements, estimate effort, and deliver features on schedule.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes and monitoring/ing.

Nice-to-have:
Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, or realtime messaging.
Familiarity with caching (Redis), search (Elasticsearch), and message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
Prior experience as a tech lead, architect, or senior engineer with mentoring responsibilities.
Knowledge of security best practices (OWASP), PCI/GDPR compliance where relevant.

Tools: Git, JIRA, Confluence, Postman/Swagger, monitoring (Prometheus/CloudWatch), Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS.
