Description

You will lead the architectural design and implementation for large-scale system modernization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and implementation replacing legacy Rail Transportation systems (Mainframe/TPF) with modern Java and Spring-based microservices in an event-driven architecture.
• Define, document, and enforce architectural principles and standards for application design and integration across business domains.
• Apply Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF, BizBok, DMBok) to drive structure and coherence in the technology portfolio.
• Provide architectural leadership within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment to ensure technical designs enable agility and rapid delivery.
• Act as the subject matter expert for architectural modeling, event-driven architecture patterns, and enterprise information management (EIM).

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in multiple IT areas, with 10+ years in technology architecture roles.
• Extensive experience defining and implementing solutions for rail transportation companies.
• 5+ years of practicing knowledge and experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Demonstrated knowledge of EA Frameworks including TOGAF, BizBok, and DMBok.
• Broad experience transitioning from legacy systems (IBM Mainframe, TPF) to modern stacks (Java, Spring, Microservices).
• Expertise in Java and Spring development.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
