Description

You will define high-level strategy, business cases, and formal requirements for complex application systems. You translate business needs into solution requirements using UML, flow charts, and data models. You design complex systems and processes within highly complex policy and organizational environments. You interact directly with key stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment. You maintain and upgrade existing systems while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level strategy and business cases for IT initiatives.
• Create formal requirements specifications using UML, flow charts, and data models.
• Design complex systems and processes in policy-heavy environments.
• Translate business requirements into detailed solution requirements.
• Manage the development, implementation, and upgrading of complex application systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an IT business analyst.
• Strong proficiency in UML, flow charts, and data modeling.
• Demonstrated experience in process mapping and system design.
• Ability to work effectively in highly complex policy and organizational environments.
• Strong analytical skills for developing and maintaining complex application systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with key stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified in Business Analysis (CCBA).
• Experience working with university administrative offices (Academic Services, Finance, HR, Research Administration, Student Administration, Environmental Health & Safety).
