Description

Build a global customer account reporting engine to replace legacy systems for a large-scale banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable reporting solution capable of handling billions of monthly transactions.
• Consolidate account and payment transaction data from various formats into Hadoop.
• Develop Spark-based applications using functional programming in Scala.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Analysts, and Testers within a SAFe agile framework.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with functional programming in Scala.
• Proven experience writing Spark-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with the Hadoop technology stack, including Hive, Oozie, and Kafka.
• Experience with containerized technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work within an Agile team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Deep understanding of distributed systems principles.
• Experience in data engineering and building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience developing RESTful services or web applications using ReactJS and Bootstrap.
