Description

Drive end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT projects including core banking upgrades, digital modernization, and compliance initiatives.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Establish project governance, RAID logs, communication plans, and stakeholder alignment.
• Manage cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, business SMEs, vendors, and offshore resources.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and vendor management for projects ranging from $1M to $10M+.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations (AML/KYC, PCI, SOX, FFIEC) and internal audit standards.
• Track KPIs, produce executive dashboards, and escalate risks proactively to deliver within scope, timeline, and cost.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 5+ years in banking or financial services.
• Strong command of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid delivery models.
• Proven experience managing multi-vendor environments and large budgets.
• Expertise in banking systems: core banking, payments, lending, digital banking, or regulatory tech.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading requirement workshops and change management activities.
• Background in risk and compliance initiatives.
