Description

You will secure the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) during its migration to AWS cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Integrate security controls into infrastructure and application code to ensure they are integral to operational capabilities.
• Implement SAST, DAST, and SCA tools within the SDLC to facilitate "Shift Left" security and automation.
• Triage and report detected vulnerabilities to internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely remediation.
• Develop technical documentation, educational materials, and learning resources for application security.
• Present threat modeling and risk mitigation strategies to business and IT leadership.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in IT security roles.
• Hands-on experience implementing security best practices for AWS cloud-hosted applications.
• Proficiency with AWS security and monitoring tools.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Knowledge of web and API development technologies.
• Experience with containerized applications, microservices architectures, and serverless architectures.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• CompTIA Security+, AWS Security Specialty, (ISC)2 CCSP, or GIAC GSEC certification.
• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Medicaid systems or IT healthcare settings.
