Description

You will design, build, and maintain backend systems using Java, Python, and legacy technologies. You will own the full lifecycle of microservices, from architecture to deployment across cloud environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java (Spring Boot), Python, and Perl.
• Build and optimize REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Modernize legacy applications and migrate older systems to current architectures.
• Write automation scripts, scheduled jobs, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Deploy applications to AWS, Azure, GCP, or Linux/Unix environments and troubleshoot issues.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with Java, Python, REST APIs, Microservices, and SQL.
• Strong experience with relational databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or Ingres.
• 5+ years of SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with Git/Subversion and Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Perl and legacy application support.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with ETL, data pipelines, batch processing, and CI/CD.
