Description

You will own the backend architecture and delivery for scalable payment integrations and microservices.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable microservices using Java and Spring.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs for third-party payment systems (Zelle, CashApp, Venmo).
• Lead development efforts and drive technical decisions for backend systems.
• Integrate external payment providers and ensure secure data handling.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Java backend development.
• Deep expertise with Spring Framework and REST API design.
• Experience deploying and managing services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven track record building and maintaining scalable microservices.
• Strong understanding of payment app integrations and third-party system connections.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Angular for frontend collaboration.
• Familiarity with Kafka for event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with GitLab, SQL, and Unix environments.
