Description

Design and build scalable, cloud-native distributed systems using Java and AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define low-level technical designs, interface contracts, and estimates from high-level requirements.
• Develop resilient microservices and event-driven architectures using Java, AWS Lambda, ECS/EKS, and containerization.
• Implement secure, well-documented RESTful APIs and asynchronous workflows with SQS, SNS, Kafka, or EventBridge.
• Ensure system reliability, fault tolerance, observability, and scalability through distributed system best practices.
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to automate testing, participate in code reviews, and drive CI/CD releases.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software development experience with strong Java and object-oriented design.
• Hands-on experience designing and building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Practical experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, EKS, IAM, and serverless architectures.
• Experience with event-driven messaging platforms such as SQS, SNS, Kafka, or EventBridge.
• Proficiency with Docker, container-based development, and orchestration platforms.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, and Chef for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and secure coding standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leveraging AI-based coding tools to improve development velocity.
• Track record of mentoring junior and mid-level engineers to raise team quality.
