Description

Migrate legacy Mainframe/COBOL logic to modern Java and AWS backend services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build new Java and AWS applications based on existing legacy code.
• Translate Mainframe and COBOL logic into modern backend services.
• Maintain and evolve backend architecture within AWS environments.
• Ensure seamless migration of business logic from legacy systems.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• 8+ years of professional experience with AWS technologies.
• Ability to read and understand Mainframe/COBOL code.
• Strong backend development expertise using Java and AWS.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate qualification.

Preferred Skills

• Professional work experience or formal training in Mainframe/COBOL.
• Prior experience as a Java/AWS developer within the insurance or financial sectors.
