Description

Design, build, and maintain scalable, event-driven microservices within an AWS environment. Own the full lifecycle from architecture design to code reviews and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and document new and existing components to meet quality and operational needs.
• Build high-quality code using unit testing and test-driven development practices.
• Drive code reviews and mentor the team on technical best practices and architecture decisions.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with DevOps and support teams to troubleshoot code-level problems and resolve design challenges.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience developing scalable, microservice, event-driven software applications.
• Practical experience building RESTful APIs using Node.js and Java.
• Required AWS Certification.
• Strong experience with Amazon Web Services: Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, S3, IAM, DynamoDB, RDS.
• Strong experience with event streaming and reactive programming using AWS or Apache Kafka and Flink.
• Proven ability to focus on application scalability, security, and availability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Previous leadership experience as a Team Lead, Tech Lead, or Architect.
• Experience with application performance monitoring and runtime user monitoring tools.
