Role Overview:

This Senior Java Developer role involves designing and developing robust software components based on screen design documents, ensuring adherence to technical frameworks and coding standards. The position requires providing technical guidance to the development team, taking ownership of design and code, and continuously striving to improve application stability, scalability, and user experience. A key aspect of the role is addressing architecture security and managing technical risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software components based on screen design documents that fit within the technical framework.
• Ensure code meets established standards and is appropriately tested for the platform.
• Provide technical guidance to the development team as required.
• Own the design and code as per given requirements.
• Communicate status (written and verbal) to the project team and management.
• Continuously look for ways to improve application stability, scalability, and user experience.
• Address architecture security and own the team's approach to technical risks and mitigation.

Required Skills:

• Agile Methodology and Cloud Native Development (Azure preferred).
• Proficiency in Java, Reactive Programming, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Web-based development experience.
• Must have experience in Spring WebFlux, JPA/ORM, Kafka, JMS MQ/Solace, Redis, NoSQL, and SQL frameworks.
• Must have experience in using Service Discovery, Circuit Breaker, and API Gateway design patterns for building reliable and scalable applications.
• Cloud Native Development experience using technologies such as Azure SQL/PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, EventHub, Service Bus, Event Grid, Application Insights, Synapse Analytics, Logic Apps, Container Apps, Container, and Unix.
• Experience in DevOps CI/CD processes using Gradle, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes framework.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks including JUnit, Spring Test & Spring Boot Test, Postman, SoapUI, AssertJ, Hamcrest, Mockito, JSONassert, and JsonPath.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of full software development lifecycle and Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Overall 9+ Years of Industry experience.
• Experience in agile development methodology.
• Experience as a hands-on Senior Java developer.
• Experience in building solutions to complex problems, Java version upgrades, and developing Microservices.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in MERN stack for developing User interfaces using modern web technologies and frameworks such as HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Bootstrap, ReactJS, and Node.js.
• Financial Domain experience.
• Good knowledge of Messaging and Event Driven Architecture.
• Leadership skills.
• Experience in migration from PCF to Azure for Java applications.
• Good communication skills and ability to lead a team of developers in an Onshore-Offshore model
