Description

You will develop and support Java and JavaScript services in a cloud-hosted environment, focusing on automotive connectivity and microservices architecture.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web portals, content management systems, and responsive single-page applications using modern frameworks.
• Integrate and manage APIs exposing microservices via REST and SOAP protocols.
• Facilitate object-oriented design using UML, design patterns, and J2EE best practices.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment tools for efficient release cycles.
• Build and maintain event-based architectures leveraging Kafka and NoSQL databases.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Deployment experience using Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, or CoreOS.
• Cloud experience, specifically with AWS.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitHub, Jenkins, or Bamboo.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, or XP).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Liferay or portlet-based services.
• Familiarity with Design Thinking, TDD, and BDD.
