Description

Develop and maintain enterprise-class applications on JEE platforms, converting SOAP services to RESTful APIs and building new web services.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, test, and document enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements, design, testing, and deployment.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system defects and performance bottlenecks in production.
• Ensure adherence to coding best practices, scalability, and maintainability standards.

Required Skills

• 14+ years of experience in software development.
• Hands-on development in Front-End (Angular, TypeScript) and Server-Side (Java, REST/SOAP).
• Minimum 4 years implementing Single Page Applications (SPAs) using Angular (TypeScript).
• Strong experience implementing RESTful services with JWT, OAuth, and security practices.
• Expertise with Java, JEE, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, Bootstrap, SASS, Struts, Spring, JSON, XML, Maven, OpenAPI v3.
• Experience developing responsive client-facing applications and integrating web services into SPA frameworks.
• Proven experience on State of Texas or other State Agency projects (minimum 2–3 projects).
• Experience with JBoss or IBM WebSphere Application Server 8+.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
