Description

You will drive the modernization of internal eService systems through full-stack Java development and technical upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Own all stages of the development lifecycle, including requirements review, design, construction, testing, and deployment.
• Architect, implement, and optimize scalable databases and highly scalable software platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical architecture decisions.
• Enhance system quality, usability, performance, security, and reliability.

Required Skills

• 6-8+ years of experience building scalable applications using Java/J2EE (Java 8+ preferred).
• Proficiency with Spring, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBOSS, and ESB (Mule).
• Experience with Hibernate, MyBatis, and Rule Engines such as Drools.
• Strong frontend skills in Angular (version 12+) and JavaScript-based systems like AngularJS, ExpressJS, NodeJS, or ReactJS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and RESTful/SOAP Web Services.
• Competency in SQL, XML, and DB2.
• Experience with Unix Shell Scripting and JUnit.
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Design Patterns and layered systems architectures.
• Ability to create technical design documentation including class, sequence, and activity diagrams.

Preferred Skills

• Mobile development experience (iOS/Android).
• Java Certifications (Developer, Web Component).
• Property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry experience.
