Description

You will design and develop business logic for large-scale web-based Java applications, owning the full development lifecycle from documentation to system optimization.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement business logic, Java Server Pages, and Data Access Objects using SQL.
• Build solutions for content management, web publishing, e-commerce, and digital signature systems.
• Develop and conduct program tests using JUnit to verify functionality and prevent regressions.
• Analyze system change requests and perform investigative studies to optimize existing system efficiency.
• Write complex program documentation and conduct investigative studies to improve system performance.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java development for large, web-based applications.
• Extensive experience with Java Enterprise Edition (EE) technology.
• Hands-on experience with the Struts Framework or Spring Framework.
• Proficiency in Java Server Pages, SQL, and Data Access Objects.
• Experience developing high-volume, transactional, and complex payment systems.
• Strong knowledge of Gang of Four design patterns, specifically Factory, Command, and Strategy.
• Experience with JUnit, iBatis, Maven, and WebSphere.
• Ability to write database queries to analyze problems and correct database entries.

Preferred Skills

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with Spring IOC, Spring Batch, and WebSphere Rational Toolset.
