Description

Lead the replatforming of an IVR application from WebSphere to Tomcat and rebuild the application architecture.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the replatforming effort and lead the IVR application rebuild from WebSphere to Tomcat.
• Migrate legacy SOAP integrations to RESTful APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
• Collaborate with a junior engineer to provide ongoing knowledge transfer and technical guidance.
• Contribute to the maturation of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Navigate complex environments and advocate for technical decisions independently.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong foundation in Spring Framework.
• Mandatory experience with Avaya Orchestration Designer (OD) and IVR systems.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API integration, including creating and consuming endpoints.
• Experience with SOAP APIs and migrating them to REST.
• Proficiency with MS SQL Server and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Exposure to Salesforce integrations, including screen pops and backend data flows.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
