Description

You will lead the replatforming effort and rebuild of the IVR application, managing the transition from WebSphere to Tomcat.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead the rebuild of the IVR application and manage the lift-and-shift from WebSphere to Tomcat.
• Migrate legacy SOAP integrations to RESTful APIs.
• Own the technical transition of routing logic and Avaya integration to new API endpoints.
• Collaborate with a junior engineer to provide ongoing knowledge transfer.
• Contribute to the maturation of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Java development experience.
• Mandatory experience with Avaya Orchestration Designer (OD) and IVR systems across at least 3 recent projects.
• Strong foundation in Spring Framework.
• Deep expertise in RESTful API integration, including creating and consuming endpoints.
• Experience with SOAP APIs and migrating legacy services to REST.
• Proficiency with MS SQL Server and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Ability to work independently and navigate complex environments with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Experience with Salesforce integrations, specifically backend data flows and screen pops.
