Description

You will build and maintain large-scale web applications and middleware components using Java EE technologies.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain middleware components using IBM MQ and Web Services.
• Implement application security layers for web applications.
• Develop and manage XML Schema Definitions and Java bindings for marshalling/unmarshalling.
• Refactor existing code using Gang of Four design patterns such as Factory, Command, and Strategy.
• Manage build processes using ANT and Maven scripts.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience in Java development for large-scale web applications.
• Deep knowledge of Struts, Spring MVC, Spring IOC, Spring AOP, and Spring Batch.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and AJAX.
• Hands-on experience with iBatis, JUnit, JSP, and Maven.
• Experience with WebSphere and WebSphere’s Rational Toolset (Clear Case/Clear Quest).
• Strong SQL skills working with DB2 z/os and MS SQL Server.
• Expertise in XML and XML Schema Definitions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building or using Rules Engines.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
