You will design and develop microservices-based solutions in McLean, VA.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices using Java/JEE, Docker, and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Analyze business requirements and technical designs to align with the technical roadmap.
• Execute technical upgrades and migrations for middleware, databases, and PAM workflows to the cloud.
• Optimize Java/JEE applications for performance and process improvement.
• Maintain operational excellence through defined coding, testing, and DevOps methodologies.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Angular, Node JS, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML 5, and CSS.
• Experience with multi-tier architectures including web servers, batch, and databases like MongoDB and Postgres.
• Knowledge of container orchestration and large microservice architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo, GIT, Bitbucket, or Spinnaker.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of application security including LDAP, AD, TAM/PING, certificates, and encryption.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or SAFe.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
