Description

You will design and implement APIs, backend service connections, and mortgage calculation logic within a DevOps squad.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement APIs and connections to backend services.
• Own the full software lifecycle from design to production, including operation, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Maintain high code quality through refactoring, identifying anti-patterns, and mentoring the team in clean code practices.
• Drive continuous delivery by managing an extensive test suite including unit, integration, smoke, and performance tests.
• Participate in agile/scrum processes to deliver functionality within a complex IT landscape.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional development experience in complex IT environments.
• Expertise in Java 17 (with readiness for Java 21).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot 3.2 and Microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with AWS and container technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling including Sonar, Git, Maven, and Postman.
• Strong testing skills using Cucumber and various system, unit, and performance testing methodologies.
• Ability to read and write Dutch, as part of the codebase is in Dutch.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the financial or mortgage sector.
