Description

You will lead the design and development of microservices-based Java applications for enterprise clients, ensuring performance, scalability, and security in distributed systems. You will integrate with modern databases, APIs, and cloud services while driving agile sprints, maintaining code quality via CI/CD, and reducing technical debt.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust microservices using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security for distributed environments.
• Integrate services with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and RESTful APIs.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure high code quality and reduce technical debt.
• Collaborate with NYC-based teams throughout the full development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 10-12+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful API design.
• Strong proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of performance optimization tools like JMeter.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced proficiency in reactive programming (Spring WebFlux, Reactor) and event-driven architectures.
• Cloud-native development experience on AWS/GCP/Azure, including serverless and Kubernetes.
• Full-stack capabilities with frontend frameworks (React/Angular) and DevOps tools (Terraform).
