Description

You will develop and enhance Market Risk applications using distributed Java microservices and cloud technologies.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Market Risk applications within a globally distributed agile fleet.
• Reimplement the Risk Calculation engine using distributed Java microservices and cloud technologies.
• Process critical platform data handling over a billion positional and sensitivity records daily.
• Collaborate with business partners to shape the tooling and technology landscape for Risk Management.
• Participate in an Agile squad, adhering to Agile principles and applying DevOps practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Core Java (server-side) and Spring.
• Strong experience with distributed data processing pipelines using Apache Spark and Hive.
• Proficiency with relational database management systems (RDBMS) and SQL.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience building multi-threaded applications and using concurrency packages.
• Ability to write scripts in Shell, Perl, or Python.
• Experience with Agile Development methodologies and JUnit for unit testing.
• Strong analytical ability and experience optimizing queries against large relational databases.

Preferred Skills

• Risk or Financial Systems development experience.
• Experience with automated testing.
