Description

You will own the migration of legacy applications from Oracle databases to the COSMOS object storage and metadata system.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and refactor existing code, database designs, and stored procedures to support the new architecture.
• Implement data ingestion, storage, and processing frameworks using Java, Spring, and Kafka.
• Design and develop APIs and services for internal and external consumption.
• Build parallel data pipelines to ensure data integrity and consistency during the migration process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues regarding performance, scalability, and availability.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building data-intensive applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring framework, including Spring Boot.
• Experience building microservices using Java and Spring-related technologies.
• Solid understanding of database systems and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis, and S3.
• Experience with Kafka for messaging.
• Proven track record in system design and scaling fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
