Description

You design, build, and maintain low-latency, high-throughput electronic trading systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure enterprise applications to meet business process requirements.
• Develop system architectures and concepts for trading applications.
• Maintain code quality through static/dynamic analysis, security scans, and CI/CD gating.
• Provide work estimates and manage the software delivery lifecycle from analysis to support.
• Mentor the development team and collaborate with trading and quantitative analysts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of core Java server development (JDK 11 or 17) with asynchronous, event-driven, and concurrency expertise.
• Experience designing low-latency, high-throughput trading applications.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, including enterprise authentication and security standards.
• Experience with enterprise services: monitoring, state management, and JMS (ActiveMQ or similar).
• Database experience with MS SQL Server and/or Sybase.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, SonarQube).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.

Preferred Skills

• Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Boot Actuator) and Apache Camel (v3).
• Experience with ION, TradeWeb, or Bloomberg integrations.
• Understanding of Capital Markets, Derivatives pricing, and RFQ workflows.
