Description

You will build and manage the DevOps tools, processes, and technologies required to operate a microservices-based cloud IoT platform in Philadelphia, PA.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create horizontal tools and best practices to support engineering teams in building, testing, and securing cloud infrastructure.
• Define common frameworks and software libraries to support scalable and highly available microservice architectures.
• Troubleshoot system architecture issues and identify improvements for quality, performance, and security.
• Translate system architecture and product requirements into well-designed, tested software solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and feedback to other software developers within an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer focused on cloud-based systems.
• Strong Java development skills, preferably with version 1.8.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, and Fargate.
• Proven track record developing microservices and complex platform architectures (SaaS/PaaS).
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript (NodeJS).
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices frameworks.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance.
• Knowledge of distributed network architectures and network security.
• 3+ years working in teams applying modern Agile software development practices.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Knowledge of Golang.
