Description

You will design, develop, and migrate enterprise applications from mainframe platforms to modern, scalable cloud-native architectures.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy mainframe applications and data structures alongside Application Modernization Architects.
• Refactor existing Java applications interacting with DB2 databases for migration to AWS Cloud.
• Lead mainframe modernization and re-engineering of business logic, data access layers, and integration points.
• Design and implement database solutions, including schema design and performance optimization for DB2 and PostgreSQL.
• Develop automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes for cloud environments.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java (Core Java, Spring Boot/Spring Framework) and object-oriented design.
• Proven experience with DB2 database architecture and SQL development.
• Experience architecting and working with PostgreSQL, specifically AWS RDS for PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications to cloud-ready codebases, including Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in developing CI/CD pipelines and working with DevOps tooling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
