Description

You will build and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and microservices architecture in Porto, Portugal.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Design and manage relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database schemas.
• Lead technical projects and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with the team to solve complex technical problems.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders in English.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with Git for version control.
• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Fluency in English.
• Must be based in Porto, Portugal with EU work permit or CPLP nationality.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Docker, AWS, or Azure.
• Fluency in French.
