Description

You will lead the modernization of legacy application screens within the CLiCS application by replacing Struts-based components with modern Java Spring MVC screens.

Responsibilities

• Rewrite application screens and underlying technology using the Spring MVC framework.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and developers to produce software designs and technical specifications.
• Architect, design, and integrate individual software solutions into higher-level systems.
• Test code periodically, perform debugging, and develop testing and acceptance procedures alongside QA teams.
• Provide project leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to other software developers and technical support staff.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience developing complete object-oriented Java web applications, including analysis, design, and implementation of UI, controller, business logic, and data tiers.
• 5+ years of experience designing user interfaces using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSP, and Bootstrap.
• 3+ years of experience developing web applications using Groovy/Grails.
• 2+ years of experience in software architecture and design.
• Proficiency with the Spring Framework and Spring MVC.
• Experience with APIs and Web Services.
• Ability to work independently to design, build, and implement software features.
