Description

Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable microservices in a retail domain.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a development team, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Own end-to-end delivery of distributed systems, from requirements analysis and coding to deployment and production maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to define technical solutions and refine user stories.
• Drive continuous improvement through rigorous code reviews, unit testing, and automation.
• Manage Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years leading teams.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot Microservices Framework.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Proficiency in relational databases such as MySQL or Oracle.
• Experience with message brokers like Rabbitmq.
• Proficiency in writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience with Cucumber for behavior-driven development and automation.
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and performance analysis tools like New Relic.

Preferred Skills

• Strong domain experience in Retail or eCommerce.
• Experience integrating with Loyalty, Rewards, Martech, or SaaS platforms.
